WorkSwiss documentation and policies
WorkSwiss maintains compliance, identity-verification, account-security and financial-crime prevention procedures designed to protect clients and reduce the risk of fraud, money laundering, identity misuse and other prohibited activity.
The verification requirements applicable to a client may depend on the services used, account activity, payment method, risk assessment and applicable legal or compliance requirements.
Our compliance procedures operate together with our Know Your Customer ("KYC"), Anti-Money Laundering ("AML"), account-security, payment-verification and fraud-prevention procedures.
These procedures may include identity verification, document review, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, payment verification and requests for additional information where reasonably necessary.
Clients may be required to verify their identity before receiving access to some or all WorkSwiss services.
Verification may also be required or repeated after an account has been opened where information changes, documents expire, payment activity requires review or additional compliance checks are appropriate.
Depending on the circumstances, WorkSwiss may verify information including:
Documents requested for verification should be clear, valid, complete and sufficiently legible to allow the relevant information to be reviewed.
Depending on the verification required, clients may be asked to provide one or more of the following:
Proof of identity should normally consist of a valid government-issued photographic identification document.
Depending on availability and acceptance, this may include:
The submitted image or copy should normally show the complete document and must be sufficiently clear for the required information to be reviewed.
Relevant information may include:
Where both sides of an identity document contain relevant information, WorkSwiss may request images of both sides.
An identity document may be rejected where, for example:
Where a document cannot be approved, the client may be asked to submit a clearer image, replacement document or alternative form of identification.
WorkSwiss may request documentation confirming a client's current residential address.
Depending on the circumstances, acceptable evidence may include:
A proof-of-address document should normally clearly display:
WorkSwiss may require that proof-of-address documentation has been issued within a specified recent period.
The acceptable age of a document may depend on its type and the verification requirements applicable at the time.
WorkSwiss may request evidence that a payment method used for a deposit or withdrawal belongs to, or is legitimately controlled by, the verified account holder.
The information required will depend on the payment method and should be limited to information reasonably necessary to complete the verification.
Where card verification is required, WorkSwiss may request limited evidence sufficient to identify the cardholder and payment method.
Clients should not provide unnecessary sensitive card information. In particular, clients should never submit their card security code (CVV/CVC).
Where an image or document relating to a payment card is specifically requested, clients should follow the instructions provided by WorkSwiss regarding which information must remain visible and which information should be concealed.
Clients should not send a complete unredacted payment-card image unless expressly required through an appropriately secured and authorized verification process.
WorkSwiss may request information or documentation concerning the origin of funds used in connection with an account.
Depending on the circumstances, supporting evidence may include bank statements, payment records, employment or income information, business information or other documentation reasonably necessary to establish the legitimate source of funds.
Where enhanced due diligence is appropriate, clients may be asked to provide information concerning the broader origin of their wealth.
This may relate to employment, business activities, investments, property, inheritance or other legitimate sources.
Where appropriate, WorkSwiss may screen clients, beneficial owners or other relevant persons against sanctions, restrictions, politically exposed person ("PEP") information and other financial-crime risk data.
A potential match does not necessarily establish prohibited activity. It may require additional review or information before verification or a transaction can proceed.
Additional verification may be required where an account, transaction, jurisdiction, payment method or other circumstance presents an increased compliance, fraud or financial-crime risk.
Enhanced due diligence may include:
WorkSwiss may review deposits, withdrawals, transfers, trading activity and other account activity for unusual, inconsistent or potentially suspicious patterns.
Activity that is inconsistent with available client information may result in additional verification or compliance review.
Compliance and verification procedures may continue throughout the client relationship.
Information or documentation may therefore be requested after initial account verification where reasonably necessary to keep records current, investigate activity or satisfy security and compliance requirements.
Clients may be required to complete re-verification where:
Submission of a document does not constitute automatic approval.
A submitted document may remain pending while it is reviewed and may subsequently be approved, rejected or require additional information.
Where a document is rejected, WorkSwiss may request a replacement document or provide information regarding the issue that must be corrected.
Clients should provide requested compliance documents within a reasonable period.
WorkSwiss does not guarantee that every verification review will be completed within a fixed number of days.
Processing time may depend on document quality, verification requirements, the complexity of the review and whether additional information is necessary.
Certain account functionality may be restricted while required verification or compliance reviews remain incomplete.
Depending on the circumstances, this may affect account activation, deposits, withdrawals, trading or other functionality.
Where verification cannot be satisfactorily completed, further action may be taken in accordance with our Terms and Conditions and applicable requirements.
Clients must not submit forged, altered, stolen, misleading or fraudulent documents.
Where WorkSwiss reasonably suspects document manipulation, identity theft or other fraudulent activity, the relevant submission or account may be subject to additional investigation and appropriate restrictions.
Identification, financial and verification information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.
Access to sensitive client information should be limited to authorized persons and service providers where access is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
Clients should submit verification documents only through official WorkSwiss submission channels.
Where secure document upload is available within the client account, clients should use that facility rather than sending sensitive documents through unofficial communication channels.
Clients should never send passwords, authentication codes or other account credentials together with verification documents.
WorkSwiss may retain verification documents, compliance records, transaction information and related records for as long as reasonably necessary or required under applicable law, security requirements and our record-retention procedures.
Closing an account does not necessarily result in the immediate deletion of records that must or may legitimately be retained.
Where required or permitted by applicable law, WorkSwiss may cooperate with competent authorities, courts, law-enforcement agencies, financial institutions, payment providers or other authorized parties in connection with fraud prevention, financial-crime investigations or other lawful compliance requirements.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete and truthful information and for keeping relevant account information current.
Clients are also expected to cooperate with reasonable verification and compliance requests relating to their account.
Compliance verification does not remove the financial risks associated with trading.
Trading may result in partial or total loss of the capital committed to trading. Clients should review our Risk Disclosure and should not trade with money they cannot afford to lose.
This Compliance page should be read together with our AML Policy and KYC Policy.
Those policies contain additional information concerning client identification, source-of-funds procedures, transaction monitoring and other financial-crime prevention measures.
WorkSwiss may update its compliance and verification procedures where reasonably necessary to reflect changes in services, technology, payment methods, security risks or applicable requirements.
The current version of this page will be published together with its applicable revision date.
Clients should also review our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, AML Policy, KYC Policy, Deposit & Withdrawal Policy and Risk Disclosure.
Where document upload functionality is available within your WorkSwiss account, requested verification documents should be submitted through that secure account functionality.
If another submission method is required for a particular review, WorkSwiss will provide the relevant instructions through an official communication channel.
If you require assistance concerning account verification or document requirements, please contact WorkSwiss through the official contact channels published on our website.
